Questions
Does it handle both govt and private sales?
Yes. Govt purchases at MSP get arhat in ₹ per quintal and the slip notes that the agency pays the farmer by DBT. Private sales get arhat as a % plus labour, and the net goes to the farmer’s khata.
How is byaj worked out?
Simple interest at your % per month on the farmer’s daily balance, added to the khata at each month end. Charge interest only as allowed by law and your agreement with the farmer.
Are the MSP and arhat rates up to date?
Wheat and paddy rates for 2026-27 are filled in. Rates change every season, so check and update them in the crop table.
Can I send a farmer his balance?
Yes. The outstanding list has a WhatsApp button that opens a ready message with the farmer’s balance.
Will it work on my phone?
Yes. The formula edition opens in the Excel app on Android and iPhone, and the macro edition includes a phone copy too. The fill-in forms and one-click PDFs work on a Windows computer.
Which Excel do I need?
Excel 2016 or later on Windows or Mac for the formula edition. The macro edition’s forms need Excel on Windows.
