Excel says “Microsoft has blocked macros”?
Windows blocks macros in every file downloaded from the internet. It takes one minute to fix:
- Close Excel. Right-click the file → Properties
- Tick Unblock → Apply → OK
- Open the file again → click Enable Content

Questions
How does the over-booking warning work?
When you add items to a booking, the file counts how many of that item are already out on those dates. If the total goes above what you own, the line turns red — before you confirm.
How are late returns and damage charged?
On return, enter the returned OK and damaged / lost qty. Late days are charged at the day rate if you turn that on in Setup, and damage uses the charge you set for each item. Both are added to the bill.
Do I need GST?
No. GST is optional. Renting out tents and goods is taxable once you cross the registration limit, so confirm the % with your CA.
Will it work on my phone or Mac?
The formula edition opens in the Excel app on Android and iPhone, and on a Mac everything works except the WhatsApp buttons. The macro edition’s forms need Excel on Windows, and it includes a phone copy too.
Which Excel do I need?
Excel 2016 or later. The WhatsApp buttons and the macro edition’s forms need Excel on Windows.
Macros are blocked / the buttons don’t work — what do I do?
Windows blocks macros in any Excel file downloaded from the internet. Right-click the .xlsm file → Properties → tick “Unblock” → Apply → OK, then open it and click “Enable Content” on the yellow bar. If you got a ZIP, unblock the ZIP before you extract it. Watch the 1-minute fix ↑
